POSSIBILITY 
As a child I used to stare at the stars and wonder what was up there, today I found out. I worked for my whole life to be able to do what I am doing at this very moment. When I stepped on the rocket, I thought of the possibilities of what could be there. I heard the countdown “3,2,1” and the rockets turned on. I looked down at the people as they faded way in the distance. I shed a tear that then rushed off my cheek in the speed of the rocket. We were now in transit speeding at 19,000 miles an hour. My dreams had come true as the boosters broke off. “it’s really happening” I said out loud. I saw myself in the reflection of some glass, terrified. Although my dreams were now coming true, I couldn’t bear the reality. As the final piece broke off, I shed another tear, but this time not in happiness but in sadness and despair. I missed my world already. This new way of life would be lonely among other things. As I finally realized the true weight of my mission, we broke into open space. I said goodbye to my old self and welcomed the new sad world I would be at for the rest of the days.
