THE IONIC BOND

OUR NAME

Ionic Bonds are chemical bonds created by two oppositely charged ions. Colonists will need to acknowledge their differences and realize how to help themselves by “bonding” with one another. For example, a person who is a strong, quiet thinker can work with someone who is more outgoing and form a bond that is equally helpful for both people. We want to make Mars our own “Earth” and to do this we need to be connected or “bond”. Earth and Mars are different in many ways. For example, there is almost no O2 on Mars, and it is almost entirely devoid of water. If we go to Mars and create colonies it would bond two planets that are different, like Ionic bonds. Our slogan is: “No bond no team”. This means if there is no cooperation as a team there would be no team at all, as a team needs to work as a whole.
